The original cross was burnt down by the Ash Wednesday bushfires in 1983. The new cross was completed in 1995. Apart from the Cross, there is also Major MItchell Lookout to see the panoramic views of Mount Macedon and a Historic Survey Cairn near the exit of the Reserve, along the driveway. We also saw a Wombat that was happily feeding on grass.
